Melting Pot - As I Lay Dying

Melting Pot was a relatively obscure but deeply groovy 1970 American psychedelic jazz-rock and funk band. They are best known for their lone full-length album, Fire Burn, Cauldron Bubble, released in 1970.
Formed in the early 1970s, the band blended the improvisational nature of jazz with the heavy electric instrumentation and raw groove of rock and soul. Their self-titled 45 RPM releases and album explored heavy Hammond B3 organ work, wah-wah guitar, and psychedelic instrumentation.
Their debut (and only) studio LP, Fire Burn, Cauldron Bubble, was released on the Ampex Records label. The record is highly sought after by record collectors and crate-diggers for its heavy drum breaks, driving basslines, and brassy psychedelic arrangements.
