Emigrah is a Tricity-based band composed of artists united by a fascination with world music. They present intercultural dialogue using pieces collected during their travels around the world. Through music, they strive to explore cultures while simultaneously discovering their identity and roots. The group presents music as an element that transcends the laws of time and geographical divisions, combining what may seem incompatible with a wide range of possibilities. Their music proves that there are no barriers between faiths, regions, and languages. The group comprises six members utilizing a diverse array of instruments. One of the hallmarks of their music is traditional singing interwoven with the sounds of instruments of various origins. A wide variety of rhythms can also be heard in their work – from the tripartite rhythms characteristic of Polish traditional music, through the odd-numbered Balkan rhythms, to inspirations from the Arabic makam and the Indian konnakol. The group explores new sounds through a unique combination of instruments from around the world, presenting traditional music in their own arrangements. The group is an ambassador for both Slavic and Eastern music. In 2020 and 2021, the band performed a concert at the invitation of the Archaeological Museum in Gdańsk as part of the "Traces of the Past" event. In October 2021, the band performed at the Gdańsk Biographies festival at the Miniatura Theatre. Translated from: http://teatr.grudziadz.pl/wydarzenie/lnsm-emigrah-folk-muzyka-swiata/
