Emigrah - Emigrah Gra
Emigrah is a band formed by three artists from the Tricity area of Poland, united by their fascination with world music. The band presents an intercultural dialogue, using songs collected during their travels to various parts of the world; through music, they strive to understand different cultures while simultaneously discovering their own identity and roots. The group presents music as an element that is not subject to the laws of time or geographical divisions, and with a wide range of possibilities, it combines what at first glance seems incompatible. Through their music, the band proves that there are no barriers between religions, regions, and languages. One of the characteristic elements of Emigrah's music is traditional singing interwoven with the sounds of instruments from diverse origins. The band's work also features a great variety of rhythms – from triple rhythms characteristic of Polish traditional music, through odd Balkan rhythms, to inspirations from Arabic maqams and Indian konnakol. Since 2019, the group has been searching for new sounds through a unique combination of instruments from around the world, presenting traditional music in original arrangements. The band is an ambassador of both Slavic and Eastern music. Translated from: https://teatrwoknie.pl/wydarzenia/emigrah-koncert-przed-two/
